Designed specifically for sprint freestyle training so swimmers can maintain a lower head position without getting water in the tube. Swimming with a snorkel eliminates the need to turn the head for a breath, so swimmers can focus on technique and body position.
This product can expose you to chemicals including Butyl Benzyl Phthalate, which is known in the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to https://www.p65warnings.ca.gov/fact-sheets/butyl-benzyl-phthalate-bbp

The most important training and teaching device since the advent of the pace clock.

This is the 3rd freestyle snorkel I've had in the last 4 years and all of them have cracked on the plastic welded seam. Not very good value.

I too purchased this snorkel so that I could increase activity after having ACDF Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, which has limited my activity until the fusion has set about a year. Up until I was given the ok to swim with the snorkel I was limited to walking, and my previous life before ACDF I ran marathons... so inactivity has been making me crazy! I took me a bit before I figured out how not to get water in the snorkel .. it mimics the perfect freestyle form. Your head can't be looking to far down or too far ahead. I have to say breathing was obviously what I found hard about swimming. I'm so happy with my new found freedom! Thank you Finis!

I use it for 3 months now and love it. My favourite applications: with kickboard I swim with Finis' Alignment for training legs, freestyle, breastroke, dolphin, with pullboy for improving hands technique, all 3 styles abovementioned, with monofin with or without kickboard, to enjoy speed. It's great to keep your head in natural position and focus on other body parts. Some hints and warnings. Keep in mind that there is no bypass valve and it is longer than other snorkels. It's difficult to get rid of water, once it gets in. I avoid flip turns and aggressive turns overall and diving. Also breath resistance is strong. Might be difficult to use for people with no experience with snorkels without valves and for those with breathing issues. On the other hand, it's great as cardio tool. Highly recommended to experienced siwmmers/divers.

The freestyle snorkel is the best. When I started swimming I used to swim with my head buried in the water and it used to create a lot of drag but one session my coach gave me the snorkel and told me to swim. suddenly I could feel my head position change instantly and now I am shaving seconds off my times. IT IS TRUELY AMAZING.

I have used this snorkel for 5 years. It keeps you balanced and allows you to swim freestyle uninterrupted and focus on your stroke. For me, it solves a health problem, I have a fused neck so repetitive motion is a nono. This snorkel solved the problem and allows me to swim.

We use the snorkels with our age groups swimmers to focus on head position in freestyle, kicking on side, and dolphin kicking. Once swimmers get accustomed to breathing through the snorkel, it's a great reinforcement tool.

We use the Finis Freestyle snorkel to work on head position with freestyle and breaststroke keeping a good body line is really important and it is easier to feel if you do not have to move your head to breath.

I have both kinds of snorkel..freestyle and regular. I coach high school and teach adults. These snorkels work well, once the athletes learn to use them. Their main issues are usually solved by also using nose clips.Using these snorkels have helped with head position awareness breathing rhythm, and focus on nonbreathing issues.

In my opinion, the Finis Freestyler Snorkel is the greatest technological advance in swim training since the invention of goggles. It is especially useful in teaching the proper hand entry, catch, and pull. It has also allowed me to eliminate kick boards from kick fitness workouts. There's a bit of a learning curve at first but once my swimmers get used to it, they don't want to give it up. There's nothing I like to hear more than a rival coach tell me about how he thinks that snorkels aren't worth messing with.

Special Swimming advancement
I just took to pool lap swimming mid 2022 and first issue was my incorrect head position- posture which leads directly to breathing technique timing etc. l purchased Finis fins and Finis freestyle snorkel. The fins helped float me to the surface and the snorkel let me- freed me to work on all elements of my stroke , rotation , speed and strength plus l was able to relax and enjoy my time advancements. I now swim almost daily 2.5 mile sessions with 1/4 mile legs alternating snorkel - no snorkel plus several drills. Thanks to my training l now have incredible lung capacity endurance and calm peace anywhere I swim.
(Flip turns with the freestyle snorkel does not take in water however it is easy to do a quick purge blow upon surfacing)
Thank you Finis

Easy to use and great for long distance swims
When I feel tired or I want to just work my rhythm, the snorkel is a great tool. It took a while to feel comfortable flipping with it on but I now feel like a pro, 10 years later. Yes, it has lasted quite a long time, too.
